And All That Jazz

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I’m fancy. Well. Not really. Kind of. I’m the unfanciest kind of fancy. The most high maintenance of a simple man I can be. I guess you could say I like the simple things with a bit of a flair here and there.

We have just a few days before we get on the airplane. Thursday, we fly away to that England place. But first, we have to get packed. We have to get our snacks ready. We have to rest up. Yes. That’s the first thing. Rest.

We even got to pick out what music we listen to on the way to the airport. I picked jazz. Because it was Digby’s favorite. And I want to be reminded of him as much as possible this week.

Sometimes, Girl Person says she feels a little guilty about being pampered in the airplane this week. She also isn’t used to this kind of treatment. But I like that she’s being taken care of too. Because Boy Person has to fly on a separate plane than us. And it’s going to take a lot of work on her part to stay calm. And focused.

All that jazz. Do we really need so much adieu (how do I know that word) to travel? No. But when there are so few options for persons to safely move with their dogs, this has been such a blessing for us. The day will be shorter than some of our car travel days. And it will be an experience of a lifetime. I think my years have definitely made me the fanciest of the unfanciest dogs. Fruitycake is going that way too.

And all that jazz sounds pretty comfortable to me right now and I’m not upset about it.

For those of us who are used to just making due or getting by, we can feel guilty when we get some extras in life. We may not know how to feel. But I can tell you, if that happens to you, be grateful. Be thankful. And pass on a blessing to someone else.
