This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Either you’ve got it, or you don’t. At least that’s what I’ve been told. And obviously, I’ve got it. Whatever it is.
But you’ve got it too.
Yesterday, as we were taking a hike in the Tennessee place mountains, I was thinking. As I usually do.
And all of a sudden, my thoughts were interrupted by Fruitycake scrambling up the mountain side like a scrambled egg. All over the place and runny.
He was chasing something in the woods for the first time. Being a dog! Being carefree! Yes, that rabbit got away. But Fruity still got it. He got his spirit back. He got his reason for the day. He got his reason to breathe, live, be.
Do you find it every day? A reminder that tells you who you truly are, what you truly want and what you need? We have it inside of us. But sometimes we ignore who we are and what we want and what makes us want to live. What is that “it” for you?
Life is so hard and stressful and full of things to do and deadlines.
But beyond all of that, stop for a moment, pick something to look at and breathe. Sometimes, Girl Person picks a blade of grass and looks at it. Examines it. She can’t think of work when she’s thinking about the blade of grass.
You are worth more than a blade of grass. You’ve got it. But it’s up to you to let it out.
