This is Fruitycake. If love could move mountains like they say, I would move the mountain our house is on in this Italy place down a bit. My Girl Person is slowly recovering from surgery, and we are all worried about how life has to change. You see, she won’t be able to do the things she used to. And not just for a little while, but a long while. Love may not literally be able to move a physical mountain. I know this as a dog. But as a dog, I also know love can do a lot and motivation is just one of those things. We have that now because we have to.

I say that changes in life, the biggest ones, often are the hardest ones. I don’t know what my persons decisions will be about all this. But I do know I love my Girl Person and I want her home. Without her, there is no home. Anywhere. And if we let love guide us now, to who we love and that includes helping others, all will work out. But one day of healing at a time. We are climbing up that hill to be able to slide down to our purpose. It’s a steep climb though now!

So I wrote a Saturday affirmation for you. I usually don’t write ones on the weekend, but I felt someone needed it. And maybe that’s you. So let’s say this together. Ready?

I have so much love in me that I can use it to make changes. I have so much love but I have to see it today. Who do I love? What do I love? I’ll let it take me there. There? Yes! Where I need to go. Who I need to go to! But most of all, I will have love for me. I will give myself the time and space to heal before I move mountains for others. Love is spread the best when I have an abundance.

I hope my Girl Person sees this. Because she has a lot of healing to do and I want her to do that. As much as I miss her, and Boy Person too, she has to be better. For all of us, right? For all the animals that need us, right? To continue for Brickle and Digby? The rightest!

She can’t come home next week. And I’m sad. She will tell us more later on Monday. She has to change her flight. And she will update us on exact date of her new journey date. I love you all. You’re what is keeping us going. Truly. We love you.
