This is Fruitycake. Normally, things go very wrong around here and all the ways around here. It goes without saying, but I’ll say it..we may need to put some salt in this house like our language teacher person told us.
I call her Tutto Talking Person because she knows all the languages. And don’t tell anyone, but she knows dog too.
Now, all the wrong things this week included Girl Person falling off the ledge to the waterfall, and Girl Person getting poisoned by a poison vine.
Boy Person not being able to walk with his hurt foot, and me? Nothin, folks. I had a very good week.
Me having a good week is everything to my persons. They say they can deal with anything as long as I’m ok. But I was hoping for something good to happen for them today. And two things did!
First, they found out that they will be able to ride electric bikes to get groceries today instead of that sardine bus that smells like a giant sardine named Fred who has been baking in the sun too long.
It’s not their electric bike, but because there are so many tourists getting dropped off by the large cruise ships and trains, the city decided to bring in some rental bikes.
It costs about the same as a bus ride each way! They weren’t expecting that today, and you know what? It’s literally like one of the best things that has happened this week!
What’s the second thing? Well, we got an email thing that our bike was sent and a delivery company has it now and that means…any day now we finally, finally get our own bike! Our own electric bike! Maybe one day I’ll even have a side car for it! Can you imagine?!
Pleasant surprises. Wow, when they happen, it’s like little miracles. But you know what? We have little miracles that are big miracles every day. We just don’t see them all the time. We forget we ourselves are little miracles. I’m a little miracle too. When you were a baby, and when I was a puppy, imagine how happy someone was to meet you and see you and love you. Maybe it’s a surprise to you now, but there is still someone who is happy to meet you and see you and love you. If you can’t think of someone who does, remember me. I do.
So today, even if things have been going very wrong, look for a pleasant surprise. Be open to it. Accept it. Love the way you are deserving of it. Because you are.
