This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Oh, how persone like to hold on to things. They hold on to stuff.
Persons hold on to anger too. They hold on to anger and hurt like they’ve paid good money for them.
But the only thing that they pay for is with time. And isn’t that the most valuable thing all of us have? No matter if we are dogs or people, time is precious.
I have to tell you, Fruitycake does many things that I have to forgive! He steps on my paws. I forgive. He stalks my dinner. I forgive. He barks like a breed called Barker. He is his own breed.
But I also know that I do things he has to forgive too. I get grumpy. I take up a lot of room. I also like to be the boss. And Fruitycake overlooks all of that.
At night, when it’s time to go to sleep, he cuddles. And I let him. Because I need him too.
Us dogs know the art of furgiveness. When you have fur, you realize that life is even way shorter than my corndog tail.
One day spent holding on to a hurt is not worth the price. I often think some of us find it hard to forgive others because we don’t want to acknowledge how we reacted. Or what we said. Or how we felt. Or how we acted. We hold on to our pride. Forgiving doesn’t make us any less.
If you have fur, you already know all of this. But if you don’t, ask yourself if you can furgive someone today. You’ll. Be. Free.
They may not have changed. They may not be sorry. But we are all imperfect. Maybe someone is forgiving you right now.

Yes Brickle Crystal the beagle has forgiven me she had to have blood work done on Monday she is 15 yrs 3mo old and has sludge in her gallbladder and liver issues. Her #’s have come down so that is great news. Will go back in Sept for re ck. Of course observe her eating and bathroom habits every day. I tell her not to be mad when we have to go to the vet we have to go to the Dr too.
