This is Peanut Butter Brickle. What is your favorite smell? There are so many to choose from.

I think that my favorite smell changes every day. Because every time I love a smell the most, another smell makes me question if that was the best smell. There are no end to smells.

There definitely are smells that make me remember.

When I smell maple syrup, I definitely think of Digby Pancake.

When I smell corn chips, I think about Fruitycake.

And when I smell spaghetti? It’s like a never ending rainbow of delicious sunshiney rays that tickle my stomach with laughter. I don’t know how else to describe it. It’s. Just. Wonderful.

So when I saw a delivery person pull up yesterday, I knew immediately what they had. I’ve been craving spaghetti for many a days now. If I had spaghetti every day, I sure wouldn’t complain. But when you get a surprise delivery of spaghetti, oh, it’s a wondererous smell that makes you question if anything bad is a reality.

I didn’t bark at the delivery person. I just put my nose in the air and took in the smell. Anticipating the feast that I knew was mine.

I didn’t need to question if it was mine. It smelled like happiness. It made me happy. The smell alone made me happy. Eating was pretty good too.

We have many wonderful memory triggers each day that we don’t pay attention to. Because life keeps us busy. Digby wasn’t too busy to take it all in. Digby loved to take it all in. He loved his smellovision TV in the RV. It was his favorite show. Everything was his favorite show.

Take a moment to breathe in wonderful things like spaghetti delivery. You never know if you’ll smell it again. Take it all in. Enjoy. That’s what we all deserve in life.
