This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Some may think that I am a high maintenance and complex kind of guy.
It’s true that I require a lot of attention and love from afar. Don’t come too close.
High maintenance? Yes. It’s true that I’ve been craving a lot of fish and blueberries lately. Also cottage cheese. I have such a refined palate.
But in actuality, the things that make me the happiest are the simple things. Well, what I perceive as simple. Like the water in the ocean.
But the ocean is pretty complex, isn’t it?
And food makes me happy. Oh, isn’t a slice of fresh bread just the best? Just a simple piece of bread. But a piece of bread is pretty complex, isn’t it?
Bread and water may seem simple. And we ourselves may seem simple. But nothing is simple. And that’s not a bad thing. That’s a very beautiful and wonderful thing. We live in a very beautiful and wonderful world.
I’ve had so much fun exploring the mountains the last few months. The waterfalls gave me so much joy. And truly made me feel joy.
But yesterday, when I was on the beach again, another feeling of joy came over me.
Oh, it was so nice to be in the warm water again. And run and roll in the sand.
I realized that whatever makes us happy at the time it makes us happy is ok.
We don’t have to worry if loving one thing with all of our hearts makes us love something else less. We have an infinite amount of love. That’s both a simple but complex statement.
As we pack up our stuff in this Florida place and wait for our plane ride date, I aim to enjoy my bread and water.
Whatever that means for the day!
