Every Once In Awhile, You Get A Meatball

This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Brickle has sure taken over the blog lately. And I’m glad. I’ve had a lot of things on my agenda. Like barking.

There have been good days and bad days lately. Any day that Brickle feels like himself is a good day to me.

The bad days, we are helping him to feel as good as he can. It’s so hard to see someone you love with all of your heart and soul not feeling good.

But that’s why we have an appointment for Brickle on Wednesday. I’m scared about it in a way. I remember last year when he had that lump monster taken off how hard of a time he had.

Girl Person says Brickle gets very sick when they give him something called anesthesia. He whines and cries all night. It’s so so bad. I am sorry to say that, but it is.

I also will say that I know he has to have the surgery in order to feel better. He has to get that lump monster out of his mouth so that we can enjoy our spaghetti like we should. A plate of spaghetti is yummy.

But oh…when you find a meatball, wow. Wow! Does that taste like the best thing ever, or what? Yes. I’ll answer that. It does.

Life is hard and sad sometimes.

Sometimes that spaghetti you get may be over cooked. BUT also, every once in awhile, you get a meatball. And it makes you remember the good things in life.

I’ve had hard times. Sure. I still carry with me bad allergies and health issues from the life I used to be in as a stray dog. Maybe you’ve been injured in some way too on the outside or the inside. I know. So does Brickle. We know you. And we still love you.

But I also know there’s more to life than that. And more than the bad things that happen to us.

And for Brickle, I will stay positive that this lump monster in his mouth is just a bump in the road. And the only bumps after that better be meatballs.

Hi Fruitycake – Has GP and BP tried Zyrtec for your allergies? My vet suggested trying it with Angel Joey since he had issues taking more than one benadryl at a time due to his IBS issues. It really helped him, but you’d have to check with the vet about the correct dosage. Hope they don’t flare up as badly this summer. Prayers and positive thoughts continue for Brickle’s surgery.
