This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Travel has taught me many things. But one of the most important things is that if you are driving down a little road in a big RV like we have, you have to keep looking forward. You can’t take your eyes off of the road for a second.

So I wondered if you have to keep your eyes on the road, why are there rear view mirrors?

Well, you have to be able to also see what is behind you too. Because things can sneak up on you.

And if you aren’t paying attention to what you’ve left behind, you don’t have the full picture.

We’ve had to keep our eyes on the road lately. Because we keep getting rear ended with the struggle bus. It’s taught us in a very short amount of time that you sure can’t think of everything. You can’t control everything.

And you have to focus when something is very important. Like me.

Taking care of Digby and trying to help him with his medical problems also taught the persons and me a lot. I learned how to handle things with a positive attitude.

And how much that can make a difference. I learned that keeping some of your regular routine helps to feel needed and useful. I learned not to give up.

My persons learned from Digby too. They learned to get second and third opinions because no vet can know it all. They learned not to overreact and think the worst. They learned to go with their hearts when decisions make little sense.

So looking forward to the better times while looking back and learning from the past is important to us right now.

My appointment with the surgeon is scheduled for May 24th. But I’m having some more problems last night and this morning. So we have another call in. We will keep you updated. Keep looking ahead. I need you to.
