This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Have you had someone ever sneak up on you? If you want to make Girl Person laugh, tell her to scare Boy Person. She loves a practical joke.

But have you ever had something sneak up on you? I’ve had age sneak up on me. It seems like yesterday that I was a few months old, chewing on Boy Person’s flip flops.

I’ve also had a best friend sneak up on me named Fruitycake. I thought my heart would never be open to another friendship. But he surprised me.

For the persons in our family, this week was a week of doubts sneaking up on them. They had doubts about decisions. Doubts that they can accomplish what they want to. Doubts that they can do something they have decided. It’s easy to have doubts when you doubt yourself. It’s easy to have doubts when you have the Depression Monster.

Fruity and I had to remind them quite a few times this week that the doubts they were having were not right. What they want to accomplish is also for us. Their decisions that they are making are for our family. All of us.

And I reminded them of when we first started traveling and how people doubted us. I reminded them that it was scary. I reminded then that it was a good decision.

And that they could make changes and decisions again.

Willpower and determination will always kick the doubts away. If you have resolve and have the right motivations.

Do you doubt yourself too? Why? Is it because you’ve failed in the past? That doesn’t mean you will fail now. It’s highly unlikely you’ll hit a jackpot twice. It’s highly unlikely you’ll fail twice. In my opinion.

Do you doubt you are smart enough or worthy enough for change? Do you doubt your abilities?

Why do you do that? Believe in you. You are capable. No matter what anyone has told you. I believe in you just like I believe in my persons and the doubts can take a hike.

But they can’t hike with me.
