This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Persons have so much to say. All of the time. They talk about whatever it is they talk about. Most of it is not newsworthy to me.
Brickle says if they aren’t talking about him, or food or travel or peanut butter, he would rather come back to that conversation at a later time. Which is never.
I like to hear them talk when they are happy about something. I like to hear them talk when they are learning too. My persons are taking Italian lessons so I hear a lot of that. I already know how to bark in Italian. So that’s that.
But did you know that you talk more with your movements and actions and expressions than what your words can say? For me, I have a bit of a way to say “I love you” without words. I stretch. I stretch my long legs out and smile.
I do it for the persons. I do it for Brickle. I do it for those plants called palmettos that scratch my back just right! Ohhhh. I stretch!
That’s how I say love. But how do you say it? Do you say it enough? Girl Person has been having nightmares and crying about Digby. I don’t knew what to say with words. And that’s ok. Not even persons have to speak every instance. Just being there and listening and hugging is speaking. With your heart. That’s a language we all know.
Sometimes when someone is going thru something, we don’t say anything because we don’t know what to say. But that’s not ok. It’s being selfish with our love. Acknowledging is everything. If you find it hard to do, stretch and say it. However you can.
It may not be right. But none of us are right all of the time except for Brickle.
Remember how much your actions speak. Words are good. But they are not the loudest. Stretching is. Go outside your normal way of love and explore other ways to communicate. I’m stretching for you. Do you feel the love?
