This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I’m explaining a lot of things do Fruitycake as we go. With my 13 years of experience being the best dog in the world, I have a lot to teach him. And one thing is about knowing how people are. It’s very important to a dog.
Fruitycake doesn’t know how to be anyone but Fruitycake. Just like I don’t know how to be anyone but me. But persons change like chameleons. Yes. They do.
I told Fruity how persons can claim to be someone. And then they don’t tell the truth. Or the whole truth. It’s hard for us dogs to get this. Because there is no way for us to lie. Nor do we want to.
Since we can’t amuse ourselves with phones or games or texts, we have to just be. We have to be with ourselves. We have to be with our own thoughts.
To be or not to be. Can you do that?
How well do you really know yourself without all of the distractions? Do you like who you are? Can you stop? Can you observe your own thoughts?
Do you see yourself like your dog sees you? We see the real you. Are you ok with the version of yourself that you are? If not, be honest. Be better. Don’t live a lie.
I wish I could save Fruity from the hard lessons.
But I can’t save him from it all. If not for people, our lessons wouldn’t be so difficult to understand. So think about who your dog sees today.
And turn off the phone. Put away the distractions.
Your dog deserves that.
