We’re Past That

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Travel is my middle name. No. Wait. It’s Butter. But you know what I mean. I travel. A lot.

We started out Monday in that Georgia place.

And then we traveled to Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Nee York and Connecticut. Yes. It was a lot of travel in such a short period of time. Shorter than my corn dog tail.

We drove so much that we actually drove past the airports we are flying out of next week. We didn’t want to stay in the city. I wanted somewhere more relaxing. And so we drove even more than we had to.

But we did it. We had a few long days. But we made it. And it seemed right it was our last long road trip in this United States place for a while. I could pretend we weren’t emotional about it. But me and you? We are past that.

Emotions are hard for me to share. But they need to be shared. We can’t keep them all bottled up.

We may think that we are helping others by not sharing how we feel. But true friends won’t ask you to pretend. True friends will help. Listen. Guide you when you need it. I could even make excuses for why this blog is short today. But we are past that. You know we are tired and you understand. Thank you.

Just like reaching a destination after a long road trip, honesty may exhaust us. Being open may make us tired. But you can get there.

Tomorrow, we have a very early appointment to get some papers done and me and Fruitycake have to see a vet again. Stay tuned…
