The Package That Came

This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Just a reminder that I am not a real raccoon. I just really love trash.

Yesterday, Brickle and I went with the persons to Gandma and Gandpa’s house. It was a long drive, but it is closer than that Italy place.

So we are spending time with them. And it was fun. Especially fun. Because I got to open my mail. And there was a surprise. A package came for me!!

You may remember that a couple of weeks ago, the crows stole my monkey face ball!

I know. I was shocked too. And more than shocked, I was sad. Very sad. I never thought I would see it again. And I admit that I wasn’t ok with that. I tried to make it work with other balls. But it just wasn’t the same.

I had made peace with my favorite ball being gone. Yes. Sometimes we do have to let things go.

Sometimes we think something may never happen. We lose all of our positivity and self confidence. We get down on ourselves because we don’t like ourselves, or we are mad that we made a mistake. Like I made leaving my favorite ball unattended.

So when I got a squeaky package in the mail, wow. I was not expecting it to be a monkey ball!!! Now I want to believe that the crows mailed it back to me. But I’m not sure how they would have paid for the postage.

So I can only imagine that someone who loves me a lot cared to remind me that the impossible is possible. That just when we least expect it, just when we are at our saddest or lowest, it’s possible to be whole again. Like I feel with my monkey ball.

Believe me. I don’t trust crows any more. Nor will I leave this monkey ball unattended. I have my mojo back.

Now it’s your turn.
