This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. I got a very big privilege this weekend. I got to sit and experience what Brickle has told me Digby loved. Driving down the road with tunes on and smelling the wind.
Brickle calls it Driving With Digby.
At first, I didn’t know what the big deal was. But I thought about it as I was sitting there driving down a slow, country road in this Florida place. I realized that I feel like I know Digby even though I never met him. I feel like he made the way and paved the way for me. And I appreciate it. I really, really do.
In some ways, Digby and I are a lot alike. We both have our share of health problems. But we don’t focus on that. We focus on the positive and amazing things that can happen in every day. Because if I focused on the negative, I wouldn’t enjoy a thing. And what is the point?
Positivity is hard for my persons lately. Worry and big decisions can seem bigger than blessings. But let me tell you. They are not!
We can cruise along in life. Or, we can cruise along with cake. That’s right! Cruise thru the day with a big slice of what’s right. And throw away the what’s wrong.
Boy Person is still in that Italy place.
And I’m not sure when he’s getting back this week. But I do know we miss him.
And instead of being sad, we are going to plan how we will welcome him back.
And today? Well.
We wait to hear more news from the engineer on the little house.
Because Boy Person spent days clearing the path to get all the facts.
