This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. I’ve had many things taken from me when I was a stray. Yes. It was hard. But now, I have many things given to me. Many things. The persons tell me that life is a bunch of give and take. Yesterday was that way too.

I had to go to the vet person which was a two hours drive each way. But when you trust a vet person, you go where you have to. And I’m glad we did. I’m also glad that my brother Peanut Butter Brickle went with me.

When Brickle had to go to his vet persons and have surgery last month, I went with him. It’s just what family and friends do. When you’re going thru something, you are there to help. And when you need help, you get that in return. It’s a lot of give and take.
The vet person told me that I scratched my eye somehow and that it was healing, but that I need medicine and eye drops to help me heal. I have to take that for a little while. It is better news than we thought. Yes. Life is give and take, isn’t it?

I am very glad that we know what is wrong and that I can get better. I’m also very glad my brother was there for me like I was for him. I don’t want to have problems. But it sure felt nice to be loved. It sure feels good to love.

Today has another sort of give and take. We will be saying goodbye to our big cherry truck. I’ve known it since the day that I was adopted.

It’s meant a lot to me. It meant a lot to Digby.
It means a lot to Brickle. It was reliable and kept us cool. It took us so many places.
And yet to get to another place, that Italy place, we have to tell it goodbye.

But we have to remember the truck can still be appreciated by someone else. It can go new places. None of us stay the same. Life goes on. We have give and take moments when a bigger picture is worth the sacrifice.
Now. You may wonder how we are gonna get around without the truck. Very good question. Because we need to find a very cheap car. Today. Give and take? Hopefully. Stay tuned.
