I’m Going To Disney!

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Well, I found out what the surprise is today! The persons told me this morning that we are going to some place called Disney to camp for five days at a fort! I have no idea what Disney is…but it sounds like I should.

All I know is that if the persons are trying to cheer me up, I will go!

Girl Person said that my personality is very different from Digby. I agree. We are opposites. But that’s what made us…and makes us a team. Digby loved hiking more than anything except food. And I have loved “attractions” since I was little. I like going to museums and shops.

I like going to people’s houses. In fact, I still try to go into every door of every house I see. Who knows. I may knock on your door one day.

Girl Person says this Disney place is an attraction. She said it’s a splurge to take me camping here. But she said if I am cheered up…even a little..it will be worth every sacrifice. I’m very very happy to be loved so much. Even though I pretend I don’t like to be loved.

I am hoping that you will go with me to this Fort Wilderness place at Disney. I am hoping you will get excited too. We will be there for 5 whole days! And you better believe I will eat some pancakes in honor of Digby. But everything I do from here on out is in honor of Digby.

The hurt of missing my brother is more hurt than I ever imagined would be possible.

But I loved him more than I ever imagined would be possible.

How can you comprehend a loss like this? I just can’t yet.

So to be able to live and breathe ourselves, we have to try everything to get better. And so Disney, this dog is on the way! I’m going to Disney!

  1. Happy Christmas, not tooo many pancakes. Enjoy your time at the Fort. Take your time. Have a great New Year as well. We have a monsoon / Cyclone building so we may lose contact for a few days. Bless you Brickle, Rachel and Nate. Always and forever Digby.

I hope you have a wonderful five days! Enjoy your pancakes. I do hope all three of you can start to feel better, and know that Digby wants you to carry on and be happy. Be happy for him that his suffering is over. Be happy for yourselves that you had him with you for so long, and that all of you went criss-crossed the Lower 48 together and had so many great adventures with so many wonderful rescues. Keep him close in your hearts, and do everything you do in his memory. Always know that what you’re doing will make him proud. And that he wants you to be happy. Live Like Digby!
