This is Brickle. You may think Digby is the only real fan of sleep. Naps. Rest. You may know that I’m always on the job.
But when I do choose to rest, it has to meet all of my criteria. Resting is important, yes. But where you rest is even more important.
Sometimes when we travel, it’s hard to find anywhere to stop that is restful. Interstates and traffic and lots of people aren’t very restful.
We had a long drive yesterday. And it always seems like those are the days we can’t find any place to stop that fits my criteria. What do I need you might ask?
Green grass.
A breeze.
A picnic table.
And what I didn’t know until yesterday. A magnolia tree to gaze up at.
You may think I am high maintenance for requiring all of the above to truly feel restful.
But what is more important than rest? What makes us our best, do our best and be our best? Rest!
When we value ourselves, we will truly want to take care of ourselves. And rest shouldn’t be left out. Don’t settle for a life that’s less than your best. Search for it. Sometimes you won’t find that perfect place to rest right away.
But it will be there for you when you get there.
We have a long drive today to reach Buford, Georgia! Stay with us! We can do this!
