This is Digby Pancake. First of all, dry your eyes.

You might have read yesterday that I had to go back to the Vet Person. I wasn’t looking forward to that ultrasound. I wanted them to find out I had a pancake baby in there.

But all they found was a big bump on something called a spleen. Which I’m not too keen about.

When persons get bad news, they may cry. Get mad. Want to throw things. Well. I understand. I felt like that even being at the vet.

But how was it helping me? Brickle was worried. And I was so worried about everyone else I forgot to be worried too. Until they put me up on that table. And you guessed it. There were no pancakes up there.

When the Vet Person said that the news wasn’t as good as we hoped for, I knew that. But I also heard my liver was better. I could see some light. I could see some time still left to eat dinner and pancakes and hike and nap.

Just because a few words were spoken doesn’t mean there is no hope. There is always pancakes. And there is always hope. You see, when that “c” word is mentioned, they also said the word “inconclusive” I know something. That no one knows it all. Unless you’re Brickle. And he’s telling me we’ve got this.

If Brickle says we are going to make the most of our time and try to get more time, well, I believe him. Sheriff Brickle knows all.

We’ve come too far to give up now. In fact, I think some changes will do us all good. My conclusion? I’m happy. I’m here. Let’s live.
