It’s Ok

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Well, it’s seems as if I have worried my persons again. On the days when I feel less than perfect, they feel terrible. It’s like they take all my weight…a whole 69 pounds of it…and carry it around on their shoulders.

But you know what I’ve learned in my almost 15 years this time around? That some days you will feel like you can handle the world. Like you can do anything.

And some days, you won’t be ok. And that’s ok.

Sometimes we try to get out of the not ok times by ignoring it. By pretending it’s not happening. Or by trying not to feel the feelings we need to feel.

But if you don’t acknowledge when something isn’t right or going right, you’ll stay in that spot forever.

The simple fact is that I have more good days than not good days. And I’m not ready to stop living.

But I also have to rest when I’m not feeling my best. I have to get the care and the therapy I need. And that’s the only way to get to the amazing parts I love.

We may get down when something isn’t perfect or we wish for those good old days. But I have to tell you. You can be old and remember those good old days. But remember the best times may still be ahead.
