This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Just a reminder that I’m not a real raccoon. I just look like one and act like one.

Things haven’t been the same around here lately. I don’t want to sound negative. Because I am always happy. I am always positive. But even a happy fellow like me realizes that things can change overnight.
Things can also change gradually and because you haven’t accepted it, it can feel shocking. And like it’s overnight. But it’s not.

It’s true that when my family first adopted me almost two years ago, Brickle was stronger. He could run a little faster. He could get around a little easier.

But time has a way of making us all slower. And time has a way of making things harder. I see this. Even at my young age. Because being around Brickle has taught me so much in this short period of time. And I’ve taught him too!
But seeing the persons struggle with a lot of things does affect me. I see our routine is off. And I know the future is very up in the air for when we can go to that Italy place. But all of that is of very far importance to getting Brickle better. And getting Brickle comfortable again. And it is a lot of work.

But not even as much work has Brickle has put in over the years of traveling and helping animals and even persons.
And he deserves to be put first.

Even when there is something that you have to deal with, you still have to help yourself too. You have to find spots of happiness. And you have to give yourself permission to have spots of happy. So give me the Crinkle Fry.

Yes. Crinkle Fry. He’s my friend. A friend that I can play with and be myself with. He makes funny noises. Yes. He crinkles. And he’s yellow like a golden potato. My Crinkle Fry.

I like to hear him talk and I like to forget that there is other stuff going on less than happy. I’m still me beyond less than happy things.
Brickle deserves my best. But if I’m going to give him my best, I have to take care of me too.
I have to have a crinkle fry.
I’m learning that life has ups and downs and stages in-between. Realizing that nothing lasts forever…not the good times or the bad times… can help you to make the most out of life.
We all need a Crinkle Fry.
Someone to remind us of who we are beyond what’s going on around us. Someone to bring out our happy.
So give the Crinkle Fries in life a thank you today. And be a Crinkle Fry if you’re strong enough to do so for someone else.

So sweet Fruitycake! I am so glad Brickle has you! I am so sorry Brickle is doing so poorly, but this is to be expected with his age. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers❤️🐾🙏
