This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Some days you feel like a nut. Sometimes you don’t.
Yesterday, I was feeling kinda crunchy. My feet were itching in more ways than one. I was itchy because of my allergies. And I got too excited to see a waterfall.
Yes. Let me explain. I do have allergies. And I’ve been to many vet persons. No one can figure it out yet. So we tried two new medicines this week. But wow, I’m still so itchy. I got a new shirt. And socks too. But it’s hard not to scratch. I scratch all night long.
When the persons aren’t looking, I scratch it up.
But Brickle has decided he is on Fruity Duty. And so he has taken it upon himself to watch me. And all he has to do is let out one big bellowing growl and I freeze. Which makes me stop scratching. He means business.
I also got too excited to see a waterfall yesterday. Yes. You can get too excited. Because when I hear a waterfall, my teeth start chattering and I cry and I want to get to it as soon as I can. So much so, that I almost jumped right into one.
And gave everyone a heart attack. They weren’t expecting that. At all.
Girl Person had to sit down for awhile. Because she was upset.
She said maybe we should take a break from waterfalls.
But I don’t like that idea. I should have watched Brickle to know not to get that close. I should have, because he sure corrected me after. Be glad you persons don’t understand the dog language.
I just have to remind everyone that Fruity Duty is a 24 hour a day job. And you always have to be on your feet and paws.
The persons say when Digby was younger, he was a handful too. Trying to get away and escape his harness. Running into the wilderness for hours and not coming back. He was fearless. He gave them reasons for heart attacks too.
Life is filled with corrections when you’re me. I’m still learning. I’m still trying to find my place. But Brickle says those things never end if we are lucky. He says that corrections, no matter our age, help us to be better and to gain that knowledge. Girl Person needs to learn to stop slipping down trails and ruining her pants. Although Digby said those weren’t necessary either. That would be some good knowledge to have.
So if the persons and Brickle get worn out from Fruity Duty, and need a vacation, do I have any volunteers? Now hiring for Fruity Duty. Experience with waterfalls required.
