The Pen Pal

This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. I know why little kid persons are so much fun to me. But they really are. They are my size. They laugh a lot and usually don’t smell so good like me. We have a lot in common. And sometimes I wish I had a little kid person.

But I don’t. I do have a big Brickle person, though. And he’s pretty neat.

But one of the best things about traveling to me is that I can be with others. Even if it’s for a short time, we can take that time and make the most of it.

Like the little kid person I met last week at the vacation rental farm place. We were fast friends.

We ran up dirt hills together. We chased neighbor dogs together. We got in trouble together. It was great. Except don’t ask Brickle. He was quite irritated at us both. Quite. Irritated. He’s so good at being irritated.

When it was time to leave the vacation rental place, I was sad. And the little kid person was sad too.

But then our girl persons told us we could be pen pals. And I’ve never heard of that. I only have paws. Can I still write with a pen?

Girl Person said no worries. That she can type for me. And for Brickle too if he wanted.

He said that he is super busy but that if anyone wanted to be his pen pal, he would make the time too. I think this was a great idea. I really do.

Girl Person says that some people you meet and you’ll know them your whole life. She says others may be only for an instant but will make a lasting impression. She said it’s up to us individually to either take the time to keep in touch or to appreciate what moments we had. I’d like to keep in touch with the little kid person. Because I asked him to come visit me in that Italy place.

I told him about all the hills there. And how much trouble we can get in to. And until then, we will plan our trouble by email. I don’t have an address yet. Yet.

Today we move to another rental house. We still have no car. We still have to drive around in the very very very small car. And I can tell you that I don’t need to keep in touch with it after we say goodbye. That’s for sure.

This is going to be a busy week for our family with lots of moves and packing and sorting and trying to find a car and trying to get our passports back. That’s a different story for a different day. Until tomorrow, keep in touch. And learn below on something exciting we are offering for the first time! And by the way, we are still mailing out thank you cards for your mailbox. We are sorry it’s taking so long.
