This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Quality over quantity, they say. Unless that’s lunch. Or breakfast. Or dinner. Or snacks. Then give me all. Quantity and quality!
I know all about quality. So does Brickle. We are dogs.
To know what is important in life is what we do. We are born with that capability.
And the secret is, you persons are also born with that capability.You just don’t seem to work at it.
The last few months have been full of packing and vet visits.
The last few weeks have been full of figuring out plans and making plans and breaking plans and making plans again.
For the persons, that is. Brickle and I just sat back and watched. And wondered why persons seem to forget why they are working so hard sometimes.
The persons want a change. But they complain about the work.
They want that little house in that Italy place.
But in the midst of all the work, they forget to enjoy the process. They don’t look at the big picture.
They focus on the quantity of the work. Not the quality that our life will be and really, the beauty in the changes we’ve already made.
Yes. The RV was hard to give up. But it was time. It was hard being on the road for so many years.
The persons didn’t realize how tiring until they stopped. I’ll tell you a secret. They slept most of the day yesterday because they were so tired. That’s a big quantity of sleep.
Yes. We still have a lot of work and paperwork to make it to that Italy place. We have to prepare ourselves for adventures we’ve never been on like the boat trip.
But the moment we loose sight of the big picture, that’s when the work doesn’t seem fun. So Brickle and I take on the assignment of the Quality Control Team.
We’ve been waiting for such a job. And we accept it.
Remember that when life seems like a bother, it’s time to ask yourself why. It’s time to see the good parts of your life and work at the things you want to change.
Just like when you’re cooking a good dinner and you can’t wait to taste test, imagine your changes and taste how you’ll feel.
We will be in an Airbnb until next Friday in the downtown Tampa, Florida area. Then, next Friday we will be at a unique, dog friendly destination. Stay tuned.
