Whatever Floats Your Boat

This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. I haven’t had a personal chef for long.

When I lived on the streets, I kind of had to make my own meals from what I could find.

Sometimes my culinary creations were less than ideal.

So now as we plan to get on the big boat from that New York place to the England place, I started worrying when I thought about what me and Brickle were going to eat.

You see, our personal chef, Girl Person, won’t be able to cook for us that week. It’s quite worrisome.

But Girl Person put our fears to rest. I saw her filling out our meal request forms. And so I picked steak. And Brickle picked steak. Medium rare. Of course.

She said pick whatever floats our boat. Because we deserve it. It’s going to be a lot of work for us that week.

We will not be in our normal routine. And so the little things like meals will be important. But really, aren’t the little things actually the biggest things in life? I think Digby definitely knew that.

I know that not all dogs get to pick their meals. I know that very well. That’s why I think it’s important to show the world that dogs do matter. And what we want in life matters. And that we should never be left behind.

Brickle says he is nervous about the ship, but a steak will ease his mind and his stomach. And I’m in agreement with that.

Full tummies really float our boat.
