We Are Moving To…

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Since I’ve been with you the longest, actually, I’ve been talking to you since 2011, I felt it was my job to tell you the news today.

Well. All of us will tell you….watch below!

That’s right. After years and years of dreaming, we are moving to that Italy place. And I know that you have lots of questions. I do too. So we are going to take this one step and one mile at a time.

But I want to clear up the most important concerns that I had first. Although there is a lot to explain, and we will as the days go on, you may wonder…

How will me and Fruitycake get there? Don’t worry. We will not be riding in the bottom of a plane. Getting there will be fun and part of the adventuring. More to come.

When are we leaving? Most likely the end of May or June.

Where will we live when we get to Italy? Well. This is the most exciting part of all. We will be buying a little house with big renovations. And it will be my castle.

Will we keep traveling? Yes!! We will be taking trips very often to campgrounds in Europe.

Will we still do animal rescue? Yes. This is our heart and soul and reason behind 2 Traveling Dogs. We will continue to do work for and fundraise for animal rescues in the USA while also being involved in world efforts for animal rescue.

Will the blog and our posts continue? Nothing will change with the blog or posting. In fact, we will be having more videos and more content each and every day. We want you to feel like you are with us. Because you are and you have been since 2011.

So our news is that we are moving to Italy! We have much more to tell you and share with you. Including videos and pictures of our little house. And we hope that we will have your love and support and most of all, we hope you are excited too. Life is full of change and surprise. And our family wants to experience all we can in life together. And we want to show others it doesn’t matter what change you want to make in your life. It is always possible to include your pets. And we hope to be an example that rescuing a pet can change not only their life, but yours too.

We are so happy. We are so scared. We are so excited. And it’s time to be the happiest we can be. Let’s go! Let’s go to Italy!

I am thrilled for this dream of yours to be coming true! I adore Italy. My husband and I fell in love with the Italian people when we were there for three weeks in 2019. They are so friendly and laid back in their every day life – they take time to smell the roses and isn’t that a wonderful way to live?! I will keep all of you in my prayers as you make this transition – I know you are going to love living in such a beautiful place. Looking forward to more news on your house and can’t wait to follow you on your new adventures!

Oh I’m so very happy for you all! What a beautiful place to live❤️🐾❤️🌹!! I would like to know more about how Brickle and Fruity will be getting there. If I may ask another question, my 19 year old Chihuahua is deaf and has dementia. I know that our time together is not that long anymore. We live in Summerville South Carolina and the only shelter here has mostly pitties. All large dogs. I keep researching to adopt a smaller dog, but I’m coming up blank!! Can you help me adopt a smaller type doggie? Here they all want you to BUY! I have rescued animals all of my life and I’m not going to stop now! I would so appreciate any suggestions that you two might have? Many thanks and many Blessings 🐾❤️🌹…

This is so exciting! I wish I could take my recent rescue pup and go with you and live next door! I LOVE Italy, and have long considered living there myself!

In fact, my son and his wife live in Lyon FR (just a hop over the alps) and I have been working towards making that major move in the near future.

The one thing that I’ve said for years is, but “I won’t take my dear Sonny ♥️🐕in the belly of a plane.”

My dear beautiful Sonny, the love of my life, passed away rather unexpectedly at the age of 10, on May 27. He had been everything to me. So, my life was…well, it wasn’t a life at all after that. My heart was gone, and I didn’t feel like I was even here anymore. You know, you know, you know very well what I’m saying. (He and Digby resembled each other, actually ♥️)

Anyway, I really couldn’t take living without him and soon rescued a pup (nearly a year old, looks like 100% Whippet) and we’re both doing or best, making our way in the world together. He’s a focused, curly-tailed beige-with-white-stockings dynamo, and he surprised me by also being pretty snuggly and attentive, so I’ve barely had a moment to think about anything, but the (current) moment.

I am eager to hear about your plans!!!
How will you get the doggies there?? Are you going by sea?
What city or village will you be living in, or near?

This is just SO WONDERFUL and SO EXCITING!

I am just THRILLED for you all, and I’m sure everyone else is too!

    Looking forward to hearing more…

    Cheers and Ciao for now…

Marcia and Chico Bon Bon (yes, this was his name when I got him 🙂 !)

    1. Your message meant so very much to us and we can’t express how much your love and support means to us. Your Sonny certainly knew your love as Digby did ours. And it’s a pain beyond all measure. Thank you for opening your heart again. We will explain more in the days to come and you have some great questions. We love you!!
