This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Do you like to listen to music? What kind of music do you like? I think there are good parts to most music. Especially ones that make you feel something. Isn’t that the point?
Digby really, really loved music. He especially liked riding in the passenger seat and watching the world go by. I didn’t really like his choice in music most times. But now, when I hear one of his songs, it makes me feel something. Very much.
What amazes me is that even though Digby isn’t here to enjoy his favorite songs, they keep playing. They don’t change. They are exactly the same.
A song can bring you back to a place in time. A song can make you remember things you had forgotten. A feeling. A memory. A moment.
You may have changed in age. Or you may not be in the same place. You may have had many changes. But that song remains the same so that it can bring you back. When there are so many things we can do to try and forget, a song is something that helps us remember.
