This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. I’m having a lot of firsts lately. My first time in the Georgia place.
My first time in the South Carolina place.
It’s also my first time I’ve seen all of these bugs in the woods that light up! Yes! Can you believe it? There are bugs that light up.
So many persons were talking about the moon that night. They were talking about how awesome it was to see something called an eclipse.
While that was awesome too, I did wonder why it takes something huge to catch their attention! Why don’t they see all the little miracles? For me, to see lightening bugs for the first time was as big as an eclipse. In my world.
Boy Person was a little sad about the lightening bugs. He said that the last time he saw them was with Digby. And how fascinated Digby was by them. It made me sad too to see him sad. They get sad a lot.

But Brickle told me that dad usually always comes from happy. He said if you love something or someone so much and you lose them, the sadder you are, the more you loved. I kind of understand that.

The lightening bugs were beautiful. It felt like they were putting on a show just for me. And really, the magic in life comes from seeing the show.
Sit down and take it in. Don’t wait for something “else” to happen or “big” to happen. Light up your life’s sky with the blessings in front of you.
