This is Digby Pancake. I know that I was yesterday’s author of the blog. But Brickle says that since I haven’t been feeling well, if there is something that I want to say, I should say it. So I will. Thank you for all of your love and good thoughts. Girl Person says that I am one of the strongest individuals she knows. I don’t know if I am strong or just powered by love. Maybe both!
After a day of not eating or sleeping, I finally had some breakfast yesterday. And a little dinner. And a lot of extra hugs and kisses. I hate when I get those sick spells. But I have learned how to handle them a little better. Some things never go away, Girl Person says. Sometimes there isn’t much we can do about those things. And so we learn that the only the only thing we can do is wait for them to pass.
I listened to her. But I don’t know how I felt about that. Sure, I wasn’t feeling well, but the world and the campground seemed to be going on without me. There was music playing at some of the campsites. I heard laughing. I saw dancing. I wondered. If every day had a soundtrack, what would mine sound like? You might think the song would be sad.
Or that the song would be slow because I was moving more slow.
But I knew my soundtrack for the day was happy. Joyful. Thankful. Happy.
You see, we may start to move more slow as the years go on. We may start to feel like we will never feel better. And I can’t guarantee that you will feel better. Just like I don’t know how I will feel tomorrow. But I can guarantee that I won’t question whether I want to be here tomorrow.
But as long as I am able, needed and here, my songs will be playing. And I will be jamming right along. Jam? Who said jam?
