This is Fruitycake. Sometimes you have to come to terms with things in life. Like when you pizza is made with the wrong toppings.
But here’s the thing. Even if a pizza has the wrong toppings, well, it’s still a pizza. And being a pizza and eating a pizza are very good things. I’m sure you’ll agree, and if you don’t, I’ll take yours.
The persons had their share of incorrect toppings on their plates this week.

Boy Person got hurt with his eye and back. He still isn’t well. And Girl Person broke out in hives from stress about grocery shopping and important missed appointments. Incorrect toppings? Yes. Because life is good. Just for life to be perfect, that will never happen.

I heard the persons talking today. And of course, I’m not a secret keeper when it comes to family…you. So what were they talking about? How they were frustrated. They spent a day trying to get a few supplies they could carry , but not too many because Boy Person was hurt. They went to the post office for the fifth time trying to get the mailbox for us and still have to go back again. Because no one knows where to put it. It’s funny to me. But I didn’t laugh.
They were upset with themselves on paperwork and how they were getting things done fast enough. And I didn’t laugh but I’ll tell the truth to you. For two persons with little money and big grief over Brickle, no electricity and no running water when we got here, well, I think we’ve all done ok.
What is the whole point of this situation and adventure? Enjoying it. Learning. Getting stable to help others the way we were meant to do. It’s not to get finished. That will never happen here. Truth.

The whole point of enjoying this journey is just that. If we focus on what went wrong, we won’t see what’s happening right now. The vegetables in our garden growing.

The same little bee that buzzes in front of our door every day watching us. The bedroom we painted that is almost done.

And pizza. Never ending pizza in Italy.

So for those that can’t wait to see this place done, that will never happen, I’m afraid. There will always be something to improve on and beautify and learn from.

And that’s the whole point of life.

We can’t tell you how much it means to us to be able to continue working on this project but also to be able to have the goal of making this place into a way to be used for wildlife and rescue. With plans for educational videos and rescue spotlights and shows on USA and rescues around the world, this is our biggest chance to continue to make a difference for animals around the world!! We learned so much by traveling to 48 shelters and rescues in every state. We learned the inner workings of animal rescue and the people behind it. And we plan to use our experiences to make a huge difference for fundraising for the ones who do hard work and more. Thank you for believing in us.
In order to save time and resources and energy we are sincerely appreciative of those wanting to help us get an electric bike. It would mean more than you know!
So thank you again, and here are the links to help if you so wish. We love you.
