This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Sometimes things happen in life that are unexpected. That’s part of life. But some things are more unexpected than others. For sure.
So when we were taking a walk in that Miami, Florida place yesterday, and someone seemingly fell out of the sky, well, it took us by surprise. And it certainly took that lizard by surprise.
Now, I expect to see lizards in this Florida place.
But I don’t expect them to drop out of trees. And we felt bad for him. We really did. So you know we took him back to where we were staying. And we let him rest. And you know what? It took him awhile. But he eventually was able to get up on his own. And we were really happy.
I know how that lizard feels lately. I keep trying to get better. I think I am better. And then something else happens. I don’t like it. Just like that lizard didn’t like what happened to him.
My persons also feel pretty lousy lately too. Trying to do paperwork to get to that Italy place. And then being told no. And other things I won’t bore you with. Not everything is as exciting as a lizard falling out of the sky.
Maybe you know how that lizard feels too. You keep stumbling. Falling. Failing. Maybe others can’t see your plan. Maybe others don’t believe in you.
Maybe there is no one there to pick you up after you fall.
But you have to be your biggest fan. You have to keep the course. Even when you fail. Remember why you started on your path in the first place. And use that strength to get back up.
Unexpected failures in life may hurt. They may stun us for a bit. But rest. Recoup. And you better try again. Because if a lizard can do it…you can too.
Today we make our way to that Saint Augustine, Florida place. I need to see the water. Simple as that.
