This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I’ve never been fond of stairs. And as I’ve gotten older and yet more handsome, I like them even less. Digby really didn’t like stairs unless we were traveling. I sure do miss him.
Climbing stairs is not in my favorite things. Not in even a few of my favorite things.
But I may have softened up to stairs because of our little house in Italy. Yes. I may have.
As you can see in this video, well, part of our little house has stairs to nowhere. And I love them!
I never dreamed that I would love a house so much that needs so much help and is so far away.
None of us have met it in person yet. We are only seeing what you are seeing and what we are showing you. I know. It’s hard to imagine. But we are willing to help the little house while it helps us.
This part of our house is definitely not move in ready. I realize that. But this part we are still going to love. We are going to turn it into a garden area and outside area where I and Fruitycake can write the blog with Girl Person. And we think it is pretty neat. Persons call this part a ruin. But I call it weathered. I call it wise. I don’t think you should ever throw anyone away. Not even a little house with history. No. We don’t know the history. But we will learn.
I think the stairs to nowhere go everywhere. Because we can use our imagination to make it magical.
A place to relax and grow things to feed us. A place to have talks with you most days. A place the persons can update you every day on what we are doing! Would you like that?
Sometimes persons or animals come with parts of them that are damaged. But it doesn’t mean the rest of them is damaged. It doesn’t mean that they don’t deserve love and respect. We may have to put in work ourselves and expense to help someone.
But what you get in return cannot be measured. Look at Fruitycake.
So little house in Italy, we are coming. We are working hard to get there. And I’m even looking forward to climbing the stairs to nowhere.
