This is Peanut Butter Brickle. There are many shapes in this world. Persons are all different shapes and sizes. And us dogs are all different too.
But one shape that I’m not too fond of is the spiral.
Yeah. In case you are wondering, i looked it up, and the spiral is a shape. So why don’t I like it very much?
It seems that when the spiral comes up in our week, one of two things happens. The persons go down and down the spiral and go with that Depression Monster.
Or, the persons pick themselves up. They twirl around like a spiral. They change direction.
And then they come up with solutions. With plans. With hope.
Have you ever been down a spiral? Where it seemed like you didn’t have much control over your direction?
It can happen to us all. But a spiral can be fun.
It can make you see what needs to be changed. The trick is not riding it in the direction you don’t want to go.
You may have noticed that our persons aren’t always positive. They get sick sometimes. And then that Depression Monster does double work around here.
But if you know me, and you certainly do, you know that I demand a lot of time. Attention. And I give the directions.
No spiral is going to tell me what to do. And my family won’t go any lower. Not on my watch.
It’s ok to realize we are all going to have bad days. Bad weeks. Sickness. Sadness. Problems.
But never think you aren’t strong enough to fight the spiral. Use it to make the changes that perhaps should have been made long ago.
And ride that new sense of purpose to YOUR purpose.
