This is Digby Pancake. The clouds seem to be heavy here lately.

But the sun has also been trying to come out. So my question is…the sun has to try? I thought the sun just does what it wants when it wants.

But Girl Person told me we should learn from the sun. She said if the clouds block the sun, the light doesn’t make it to us.

She said the sun still shines. But that doesn’t mean it will always reach us.

And I thought about it. I’ve been down on myself a bit lately.

I haven’t felt as good as I have wanted to. Yes, I keep trying. But I sure don’t feel successful.

What makes someone successful?

Would you call the sun successful even when it’s cloudy outside? I know it to be successful. There is no doubt.

And there is no doubt that if you are sincerely trying to shine despite succeeding or not, you are still as successful as the sun.

The sun won’t break thru the clouds every day. But it will still be there.

And I want you to be there too. If I can try to shine tomorrow, even when I am at the vet, you can do it. Why? I get very scared at the vet. I also have to go in alone. And I’m not sure how easy it will be for me.

The sun doesn’t fight against the clouds. It embraces them. It thanks them for their purpose. So when the bad times happen, the cloudy days occur, thank those days for the lessons. You’ll shine brighter when they are gone.

And maybe, just maybe, if I keel thinking of the sun, its energy will motivate me to try tomorrow. And you can try too.
