Travel Different

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I am different. Everyone knows that. In fact, some have even told me I’m not really a dog. I don’t know if I agree with that. I think what they really mean is that they recognize the individual I am.

And all dogs actually should be recognized for who they are too.

What makes you different? Everything about you. Because even if you are a twin, you are you. You are different. And differences are what makes us who we are. Differences should be celebrated. And seeing different parts about others should be fun! The foods we like, the places we like, how we like to do our hair, how we like to dress. Or not dress…if you’re Digby and don’t believe in pants.

Here in this California place, even though we have been here many times, we always see something different.

And I think maybe that’s because we travel different than a lot of individuals. When you have a house on wheels like we do, you can decide where you truly want to be every day.

And then you move your house on wheels there! I like when we have a house that goes with us, we can see more of the ones that live there.

Like this past week when we got to see the ground squirrels and the woodpeckers and the turkeys. Just like you and me, they have their own routine each day. And I like when we travel that I get to meet others and learn about them. It’s different when you just visit. But with our house on wheels, it feels like I live there too for a little while. Because I do live there for a little while.

Digby may like the mountains while I like the beach. But here in this California place, we can have both. And that’s pretty special. Pretty special indeed.

So today, think about what makes you different. Do you embrace it? Do you like what makes you different? You should. If variety is the spice of life, think about all the spices we can learn about, taste and experience.
