He Must Have Had An Avocado

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. When was the last time that you cried?

Well, if you asked Boy Person that question, he would tell you yesterday. He cried yesterday. When he ate an avocado from this California place.

I’m serious about this.

There are a lot of things to cry about. But I never thought it would take an avocado to make him weep.

After we took a hike at a place called Fallbrook, Girl Person saw a sign. A sign that said we were in the avocado capital of the world.

And since we were in the avocado capital of the world, it was a requirement we pick up some avocados. It is crucial. It was necessary. And so we did.

When we got back to the RV, wow. We were hungry. Real hungry. We had worked up an appetite. And the persons sat down to eat after they fed me and Brickle. They sat down to a burrito Girl Person made with beans and vegan cheese and tomatoes and…avocados.

As Boy Person took the first bite, Girl Person wondered what was wrong. Did she make a bad burrito? What was Boy Person crying about? He asked her if she had tried the avocado.

He had no words. And no words were necessary.

The perfect weather, the breeze, the sunshiney, all of us together made for a perfect moment. And when you added the perfect avocado?

It was too good to be true. But it was.

As I laid in the sunshiney, Girl Person told Boy Person to look at how happy I was. And all he could say was, “he must have had an avocado”.

What is your avocado today? What seems too good to be true? Can you make it happen? Can you take a bite?
