Confetti From The Sky

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. What is worth celebrating? Sometimes it’s hard to find the answer to that question when you are down.

Rainy days are not my favorite. I don’t like thunder. I don’t like getting my hair wet.

I also like to be outside more than anything. And so when we were in a bad storm and the rain was pouring down in buckets yesterday, I had no reason to celebrate. Or did I?

Digby calls rain confetti from the sky.

He says a rainy day is a good excuse to nap. A rainy day is like a party in your belly with extra treats to feel better and extra sleep to forget the rain.

Confetti from the sky? A party on a not particularly special rainy day is not what I think of as a good time. But there are many others who do, like Digby.

Seems to me that we all feel comfort different. And it’s a good thing. If we all liked the same things, our dog beds wouldn’t be big enough.

A positive outlook may not come natural to you. It doesn’t come natural to me either.

But when you can’t change the confetti from the sky, it’s ok to look forward to another day. There’s nothing wrong with having something to look forward to.

We all need something to look forward to. When the confetti falls from the sky let it remind you that your party will come soon.

Accept the invitation and get ready to smile.
