This is Peanut Butter Brickle. When was the last time you accomplished something?

Maybe it was just getting out of bed. You really didn’t feel like facing the world. But you did it.
Maybe it was when you faced a fear. You are afraid of heights. But you climbed that ladder.
Maybe it was getting organized. Starting your taxes.
I feel bad for you persons doing that.
Accomplishing things is different for everyone. And it can be different accomplishments that we aim for at different times. But what if there was no one there to tell you that they saw you? What if there was no one there to say you did a good job? I thought about that yesterday.

You see, persons like to tell us dogs what to do. They like to us we are good for doing whatever they ask us to do. I hear “good boy” a lot. Obviously. But maybe you’ve never had that.
Maybe your parents or family didn’t tell you that they were proud of you. Maybe you’ve always looked for someone’s acknowledgment or approval. And you may not ever get it.
So today, I want you to know something that I feel you need to hear. I’m proud of you. I’m proud of you for not only what you’ve accomplished. I’m proud of you for trying. So is Digby!

Never think no one cares. Someone will care. Someone will see. Yes. That someone may end up being you.
So make sure you notice and say how proud you are…of you.
