This is Digby Pancake. Everyone likes different things in life, don’t they? Even if we are related to some, or have a lot in common, we are never exactly the same as someone else.
Our persons are very different. Although they both love me and Brickle very much, that’s about all they have in common. Except they both have that Depression Monster. But how they deal with that monster is very different too.
Boy Person likes to run a lot and watch that soccer sport.
Girl Person likes to be outside a lot and she likes to cook a lot.
But what all of those things have in common is that it helps the persons to feel better. Their interests and likes takes them to a happier place. Even if the way they get there is different.
Do you ever watch others and wonder why they do certain things? Do you ever wonder why others like things that you certainly don’t? Do you judge them for what they like? The more we do that, the more we isolate ourselves.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from travel is that no matter where you go, individuals are trying their best to be happy. Who can find fault with that?
The next time you judge someone for what they fill their day with, remember that we all are trying our best to make it. To make it thru problems. Or make it to more success. Or make it to be a better version of who we are.
Embrace the differences of others. And be happy for them.
Being happy for someone else and what they find enjoyment is doesn’t take away your joy. There is plenty to go around.
