This is Fruitycake. One day you think it’s hot, and that it can’t possibly get any hotter.
That is how we have felt every day this week. But then, the next day comes.
And when you have to walk up a mountain with supplies on the hotter day of the year, you realize you have to take some drastic measures. But not a teaspoon size. A measuring cup size.

Girl Person says she has went feral. Like the cats.
When she’s had enough of this heat, you better close your eyes. Cause everything is coming off. Especially when you’re trying to push a wheelbarrow up the path like yesterday.
We had been waiting on that electric bike all day. It was supposed to be delivered to the parking lot and our path so that we could carry it up. It isn’t put together, so Boy Person took his tools down in a wheelbarrow with some trash too. Multi tasking.
He was planning to put the bike together down at the bottom so he could get it up easier that way.

The delivery time was from 9-4 and well, that means 9-16:00 in this Italy place. But they kind of make up their own time here anyway. Finally, because of the holiday here today, Girl Person had to go get groceries.
So she left and Boy Person stayed just in case the bike came. There he sat with his wheelbarrow. And you guessed it. The bike didn’t come, Girl Person had groceries and there was the wheelbarrow. They tried to put the groceries in the wheelbarrow, but they kept falling out. So Girl Person said it was time to go feral. Off came the clothes. And she pushed that thing up the path in 92 degree heat with Boy Person carrying the goods behind her with her goods for the world to see.
Sometimes to get things done, you have to go back to basics. Now, I’m not telling you to get arrested.
But I am saying you’re stronger than you know. Sometimes you have to forget who tells you that you aren’t strong and listen to you.

Push what you need to up the mountain. Get your measuring up of strength and do that thing!
