This is Fruitycake. Some things happen that take you by surprise. Maybe it’s a surprise party for you. I’ve never had one, but I can imagine its a surprise and a half.
Maybe you’re surprised when a storm comes out of nowhere and pours down on your head.
Maybe your surprise is a present of pizza. Now, that’s a surprise!
But did any of those surprises happen by chance? Nope. It’s a surprise to you, but things went into making all of those things happen.
And when Girl Person looked at me yesterday, she told me that there was also no chance that my persons adopted me out of all the millions of dogs they could have. She said that everyday I make them laugh and make them appreciate life.
She said even Brickle had a soft heart for me and needed me. Only me. To help him those last years. And I know that. It was a surprise to everyone how they needed me. But not chance. It was meant to be.
Do you ever look at the blessings and surprises in your life and take them for granted? What if you looked at those surprises, like me, as miracles just for you?
There’s no chance that we aren’t all individually cared for in this world. Surprise…that means you too.
