You’ve Got Mail…In A Hidden Box

This is Fruitycake. Oh, the adventures we have around here in this Italy place.

Some adventures are expected like swimming in the Mediterranean Sea for the first time. Oh, Girl Person said that was lovely and I’ll take her word for it.

Some adventures are not expected. Just going to get supplies, like the persons have to do today, is an adventure. You can’t put stuff off here. Because it’s supposed to finally rain this weekend and we have to be prepared. Adventurous preparation. It’s a way of life.

Thank you for your support!

But getting the mail delivered here? We didn’t see that adventure coming.

It took five trips to the post office, emails and text messages from someone who knows someone who knows someone else to make this happen.

They couldn’t come up the path to give us mail, because that would sure be a long trip.

They couldn’t figure out where to tell us to even put a mailbox. And when I say mailbox, it’s not like the United States place.

They are small boxes only big enough for a letter. A love letter to me, maybe.

So this all took weeks. I know that some may not understand why everything takes so long here. And we don’t sometimes either.

But this is not a place we have ever lived before, and sometimes you take for granted the little things that make up your life…like mail.

The blog cannot continue without support

So now, we have a mailbox and it’s time to put it on the hidden tree we were told about.

Then, we text a person who calls a person who tells the mail person where it is with a picture. Yeah, I’m serious.

So when you get your mail this weekend, think of all the little things you are fortunate enough to have.

And if you see someone that needs help with even the most basic tasks, offer a hand or a paw. You’ll never know what that means. Everything in life can be viewed as a blessing. It’s truly a miracle to have each day. You’ve got mail…in a hidden mailbox. Love from this Fruitycake’s heart.

The blog counts on many, and has been supported by the 2 Traveling Dogs family since 2011. It has saved many lives of animals and yes, people that needed us too. But we need your help for to continue in July.

Costs for the blog far exceeded contributions last month. But if you’d like to help us continue in July, or for the refuge, or even for groceries, all the links are below.

Thank you again for your amazing support.
