Falling Into The Sea

This is Fruitycake. I’ve been strong lately! And mouthy. But hey, the ball, that ant and that breadstick had it coming.

Yesterday, the persons told me that they had to go get me some bread. Which means that they had to go to the store.

And they also had to go get some paint.

Nothing is fast around here. One errand takes all day. And although it can be frustrating, the persons say that when they get home, it is worth it all.

But keeping focus and their spirits up while trying to make a plan for this property to make a difference is hard. Even harder than getting things up the path.

When they were at the paint store, the nice man person told them that they need some kind of way to get things up the path easier. But he said if its too wide, they would fall into the sea. While Girl Person laughed, she felt this deep in her heart, she told me.

She’s been very sick this week and has to go to a doctor tomorrow. She has tried to wait, but her infection is not getting better.

She says that the pain of her infection though is nothing compared to the way she feels like she is drowning some days while trying to keep going. But that she is going to keep going. She says she doesn’t know where we are swimming to exactly with our goals. But that we will do something big and meaningful and we won’t give up now.

All of us can feel like we are about to fall into the sea sometimes. It’s so easy to do. Even for me, this is an adjustment. I still miss Brickle. I’m still finding my way and my place and my purpose too. I’m finding my voice and my personality and I have so much to live for. I have so much to help my persons with.

Sometimes, it’s easy to feel alone. It’s easy to hear negativity all around. But you are here for big things!

So are your dogs and cats and bunnies and all the pets in your life!! Every single one of us has been given life. Isn’t that in itself a miracle?

Let’s help each other live. And not push each other into the sea!

Fruitycake

We arrived ten months ago with no indoor plumbing, no water and nothing. You’ve helped us so much. But we still need your help to get this property stable, comfortable and safer. This blog will always continue with your support, and now it can grow into something even bigger!

If you’d like to help with renovations, that is our first step in achieving our goals. Very immediate needs include solar lights for the outdoor steps.

Why do you call your home under the crow? Watched the video of the path! Boy that looks brutal and dangerous. What will you do when it all just caves in? I just can’t fathom why you guys signed up for all this hard work. All this is probably why your house sat there for all those years with no one living in it. My heart really goes out to you guys it just seems like there is one disaster after another. I wish you had chosen a different place if you had to move to Italy that would have made life easier for you. Sending hugs and prayers❤️🙏
