I See The Flowers, Brickle

I got a sudden urging to dedicate the blog to Brickle and or Digby on Sundays.

I think that their wisdom is still needed. I think that their presence is still felt.

We want to fill social media with happy ways to save an animal’s life. We give our time and resources to this cause. We have worked daily for over a decade to grow our pages to help provide free exposure to shelters and rescues at no cost. We reserve space for animals in need. Not sponsors. But we need your support.
If you’d like to help us continue this cause and mission which includes blogs, videos and more, you can contribute any amount here. We cannot do this without you.  Head to https://tinyurl.com/Fruitycakeblog to help!

And I know that something or someone reminds me of them every day.

Today, I saw a picture of Brickle and Digby that made me smile. I laughed, because every time we saw a field of flowers, they knew there was going to be a picture taken.

Over the years, they started requesting where they wanted to have their photos taken. And they took the absolute best. Brickle, especially, demanded his photo be taken at certain locations by just standing there proudly. He was a professional.

Often, I didn’t see the opportunity. I still find myself looking for the best lighting for him. I see the flowers, Brickle. I see them today. Thank you.

As I took Fruitycake to the beach this morning in the rain, I was feeling a little down. This is the first year I haven’t been in the states for the big game. And something little like this feels so strange. I can’t explain it.  But I can’t explain the cheery feeling I got when I saw a little piece of a flower tile on the sand. And then I found a little flower bead. I see the flowers, Brickle. Thank you.

How is possible that a dog like Brickle is still helping me to live now that he’s been gone for over six months? I’ll never get over losing him.

But I appreciate the lessons he taught me and is still teaching me.

Even though I have to brave the rain today and mud to get supplies, I will stop and see the flowers for you, Brickle. You’ll be with me even more today. I still need you.

Message from Fruitycake!!

This is Fruitycake. Do you remember when me and Brickle visited Niagara Falls? It was one of our best times.

And now I have my own waterfall and try to enjoy it for Brickle. That’s why we have decided that my February movie production is Fruity Falls dedicated to Brickle. To help work on his house and get us needed supplies. Any amount gets you a water drop personalized and emailed to you for the movie. Also, email us after you get your water drop with a picture of your pet for the movie. (Yourdogsdiner@gmail.com). https://tinyurl.com/Fruityfalls
Funds raised help with a hot water heater and grocery pantry supplies and treats for me. Obviously). We hope you like being included and honoring your rescues with these movies! https://tinyurl.com/Fruityfalls
