Where The Love Grows

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. It is cold here again in this Florida place! It was hot a few days ago. And cold before that. And how it’s cold again. It’s kind of like how I feel lately. And life is kind of like that too, isn’t it?

You go thru times in your life when everything is hunky dory.

And then, you have problems. You have ups and downs. And hopefully it goes back up again.

It was like that yesterday. It was a celebration of Fruitycake and such a happy, happy day. We made him a French fry and pickle fruit cake.

We went on a nice drive.

And we even went to a little garden where we could walk around and take time to appreciate the flowers. I had a very good day.

There were all kinds of different plants and herbs and roses and vegetables. And they all take different soils and requirements to grow.

I’ve learned that some of the sweetest fruits and the most prettiest flowers come out of hardship. That’s right. Like the grapes in that California place we used to go to a lot.

Out of tragedy and hardship and less than ideal conditions comes the best harvest.

And that’s how I feel now with Fruitycake and my persons and you.

You see, now is hard for me. I don’t know how much better I will feel. I’m trying to think positive. But the truth is, this may be my pace from now on.

Yet, other things beside travel are growing for me. Love. I feel the love and the support from the most important ones in my life right now.

Love given without hesitation or restrictions. Love given without anything expected in return. And although I feel bad about not entertaining others as much as I used to with my adventurous, I know this is part of our journey together, isn’t it? I’m so glad you’re here in my garden.

Life has some beautiful moments of growth that we may think is sadness. But it’s all about how we view what is happening.

I view these days as a wonderful time of reflection and for taking in the love given to me. It’s making my heart grow too.
