Don’t Store Your Leftovers and Then Throw Them Away

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Listen, we all make mistakes. Some mistakes take more cleaning up than others. But one thing that we all have in common is that we all make them. But some decide to clean them up. And some don’t. Which one are you?

One mistake that I see persons make all the time is having leftovers. I am not sure I understand why you wouldn’t want to eat what you have when you have it. But some think leftovers are delicious.

Some think that there are some kinds of food even better the next day.

But the mistake with leftovers comes when you store them and then you don’t eat them at all. You throw them away. And if you’re like Boy Person, you also run over them. That’s right. I said it. He did that.

There we were at his mom person’s house. We had taken over some delicious salsa in a bowl.

And when it was time to leave, Girl Person sat the bowl by the car because she didn’t have enough hands to get me and Fruity in the car. And she told Boy Person not to move the car with the bowl sitting there. She would get it in a minute, but she didn’t want to forget it. Because she had borrowed it from the Airbnb we are staying at.

Well. You guessed it. Boy Person forgot what she said 5 minutes later. And well, that bowl was run over. No longer was there salsa in this bowl.

But there was salsa all over the driveway and remnants of a vessel that once held deliciousness. Now. Gone. Only memories of special times with that bowl.

There was a moment of silence. Not only for the bowl but for the delicious leftovers that were never to be. Oh, Tupperware bowl. We hardly knew ye.

Why store leftovers if you’re not going to value them? Why run over dreams? Don’t say you’re going to get to your dreams later if you have no intention to.

And how do you know you have no intention of reaching your dreams? If you aren’t working towards them. Don’t fool yourself. Just like I know leftovers are never better the next day. Never.

Well, Boy Person sure felt bad about the salsa. But also that he owed the Airbnb people a bowl. And since he couldn’t find just one bowl to replace it, he bought them a set of bowls.

So if you throw away a dream, replace it with more. Never stop trying. Never say there is tomorrow. Start today.

Where are we headed today?

One place we always wanted to take Digby Pancake was the Cherohala Skyway that runs from Robbinsville, North Carolina to Tellico Plains, Tennessee. So we feel it’s appropriate to take this next week to explore this parkway in the USA with Brickle and Fruitycake. After that, we will be headed to Florida for two weeks to tie up lose ends on the journey to Italy.
