This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I’ve been watching a lot of families this past week. A lot of people are together and seem happy. They take hikes together. They camp together. They eat together.
I like seeing families that seem to care about each other. I know that caring about each other and liking everything that they do doesn’t always come together. But that’s ok.

When you love someone, you can overlook a lot.
So I wondered. If everyone treated each other like family, and we only considered everyone as family, would we treat others differently? Would we see them differently?

When I think of family, usually you know a lot about each other. You know when someone was born and where they live. But more important than that is that everyone is someone’s child. Everyone is someone’s everything.

When did we start overlooking that? Would we treat others better if we remembered that?
A big family is special. Imagine if all the world was your family and you felt a responsibility to treat them with respect?

In a world where everyone can become a number or a statistic, don’t take for granted the value of treating others individually like family. Be kind. Generous. Offer help with no expectations in return.

And see how big your family can be.
