This is Peanut Butter Brickle. You may already know that Girl Person has many accidents. Accidents while hiking. Accidents while walking. Accidents while going down the RV stairs. Yes. She had “one of those days” yesterday.

As soon as Girl Person had her mud in a cup coffee, she went to take a walk outside and to make a phone call. Apparently, she forgot to watch her feet. And she forgot to watch her step. So she fell down all of the steps at once. Right to the ground. You would have thought we had an earthquake in the RV. I’ve never seen Boy Person jump up so very fast.

She was hurt. She was sick to her stomach. She was very bruised up. But she didn’t break anything. Except for her pride.

It seemed like the rest of the day was not so good. It was hot. She couldn’t think. She went to sleep and she just knew that it wasn’t the best day. But it could have been worse.

Have you ever had one of those days? Where the beginning of the day doesn’t go so well and the rest of the day follows? I wonder why there are days like that. I wonder why not every day can be as good of a day as Fruitycake has. Because no matter what happens in his day, he is looking for the next good thing. Not the next bad thing. We can either be expecting the worse or looking forward to the best. I aim to be more like Fruitycake. And I aim to not let Girl Person out the door again without an escort.
