This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Have you ever enjoyed something so much that you wish you could have it every day? I bet you remember how much Digby loved pancakes!

Fruitycake has been enjoying a lot of new things lately. In fact, every day he has a new favorite.

Because every day is new. And every day has something new in it. I’ve actually been enjoying watching him enjoy things. Like our cheeseburgers in paradise yesterday.
Girl Person said that since we are in this Key West, Florida place, it’s time to enjoy the sun. The food. The good things about it here.

The problem with our family lately is that we have been sad about Digby not being with us. But that’s not Fruitycake’s fault. He deserves our best. This is his first day every single day. And so we celebrated this day with cheeseburgers in paradise. And I felt better that I have in a long time.

What I’ve never realized, even after all of the places that I have traveled is that even if you visit the same place twice, there can be something new to enjoy if you look for it. There can be a new food to try or a new view to see. There can be a new cloud to watch or a new bird to meet. There can be a new tree to hug.

There can always be a something new. Always. And you deserve to enjoy it. You deserve to enjoy the paradise that is life. What life can be.

This is what Fruitycake has taught me in just a short time. Although he doesn’t have much of an idea on who he is yet as an individual, that’s such a good blessing.

He has his whole life ahead of him. He has so many new things.
And I have a new way of looking at things because of him.
Do you appreciate the things that are good? The individuals that are good? The cheeseburgers in paradise? What can you taste of life today?

Now you made me want to join you for a cheeseburger. Trouble is, I am out of lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. How does one make a cheeseburger without all the ingredients? Trying to wait a week to go to the store. So… by then I won’t want a cheeseburger, and I really don’t need one anyway. What kind of cheese do you like, Brickle? What about Fruitycake? What kind of cheese do you want on your cheeseburger? I like Monterey Jack, Colby, Cheddar, sometimes maybe some Jarlsberg or Farmers cheese. I prefer those over American cheese, for sure. So, I could go to a drive thru, but I’d have to get a regular burger and bring it back to add the better tasting cheeses. BUT So glad you are giving Fruitycake his new experiences, and he’s learning that the world is a great place if you have the right people showing it to you. Yay for GP, BP, and, of course, you, Fruitycake’s mature canine mentor!
