This is Fruitycake.  I have to be told to slow down a lot.  Yes, I know it’s surprising.  But I love life so much that I want to see it all, do it all, enjoy it all.  And sometimes, I don’t want to wait for others to catch up.  But you know what the problem is when you don’t slow down? You pass everyone by.  And you’re alone. 

On a Monday, it’s easy to want to do it all this week and accomplish all your person things.  But I have to tell you this.  You can’t do all that. And you sometimes have to slow down to see the best way to reach your goals in a healthy way.  And faster doesn’t always get you to the right place. So it’s time for Monday’s affirmation. Say it with me!

I will be productive today. But I won’t leave myself or anyone I love behind to complete a task.  I will slow down and focus. I will slow down and think rationally.  I will do what I can, but I won’t best myself up for what I cannot do.  I am capable to do all my things in a time period that is kind to me.

I love you all dear family, and I’m waiting for you on the trail this week!
